What’s your favourite weird Sega game? Plenty to choose from!
This is a playful masterstroke. The House of the Dead – zombie lightgun arcade thriller – but with less lightgun and more beige PC keyboard.
Instead of shooting the zombies, you type the words over their heads before they savage you. Instead of firearms, the player characters have Ghost Buster backpacks with keyboard trays strapped frontside like icecream-seller usherettes.
Looks like naff edutainment but it makes a lot of sense. Look at rhythm games like Keyboard Mania or Pop’n Music. Contrived controllers that you have to manipulate dextrously to keep up with onscreen prompts.
Ingenious.
