Tokyo’s Sega Age
This blast-from-the-past arcade sign embodies my slogan, “Arcades in Tokyo; Tokyo in arcades”.
The Club Sega logo has its place up alongside the rooftops and cables, along with those of banks and financial services. It’s a part of the city and it clearly has been for decades, with its Fresh-Prince stylings of the 1990s plain to see.
Club Sega in Jiyugaoka used to have the retro branding all over, but the front has now been reworked with the orangey-red “SEGA” of the current renovation wave. I guess they didn’t notice this old sign up here?
